AFib can be described as an absolute arrhythmia characterized by irregular heartbeats and the absence of P waves in an electrocardiogram (ECG). According to recent data, there are around 60 million people in the world suffering from AF, while almost 120 million people may experience undiagnosed and asymptomatic AF. One of the underlying issues AF presents is that it is only diagnosed when complications of stroke or heart failure occur.
