Teltonika Telemedic launches EU project on atrial fibrillation

TELTONIKA TELEMEDIC, UAB has started the implementation of the European Union investment project “The design and development of the monitoring system for atrial fibrillation” (Project No. 01.2.2-MITA-K-702-09-0042).

Teltonika Telemedic launches EU project on atrial fibrillation

The goal of the project – in developing the activities of a spin-off company, to realize the commercialization of R&D results-based innovative technology “Unobtrusive long-term monitoring, characterization and method of atrial fibrillation for patients with a poststroke condition”, increasing the technology readiness level (TRL) from 7 (seventh) to 9 (ninth). In order to achieve the project aim, the following objectives have been formed:

1. As part of the feasibility studies, to choose the most appropriate components (processors, electrodes, light-emitting diodes, communicators, displays etc.) for the mechanical part of the final product.
2. To perform experimental development activities in designing and customizing the drawings of a licensed technology for production with the integration of existing or new components.
3. To customize and coordinate the selected elements of the mechanical part with the algorithm of atrial fibrillation for synchronized operation.

To achieve the goal of the project and fulfil the objectives, there are project activities scheduled: the commercialization of technology, built on artificial intelligence that is based on R&D results.

Purchasing additional services of scientific research from Kaunas University of Technology is estimated when implementing the project activities.

The intended result of the project is to reach 9 (ninth) R&D stage.  Total project value accounts for 99 984,00 EUR. The project is financed by the EU Structural Fonds in accordance with 01.2.2-MITA-K-702 measure “Promoting Commercialization and Transnationality of R&D Results”. The implementation of project activities started on 25th of November 2020, while the completion is scheduled for the 31st of December 2021.
